Between wetlands, forest and the beach path

Białogóra lies on the edge of the Wierzchucińskie-Błota wetlands and entirely within the Nadmorski Obszar Chronionego Krajobrazu protected landscape area. Nadmorski Park Krajobrazowy Landscape Park begins at the eastern edge of the village. Its location therefore brings together two different protected-area settings: the protected landscape area includes Białogóra, while the landscape park begins on its eastern side.

Białogóra Nature Reserve protects fragments of coastal swamp forest and crowberry pine forest. The Białogóra Special Area of Conservation for habitats extends north and west around the settlement. In Białogóra, protected forest fragments and the special conservation area north and west of the settlement form part of the natural setting. Those interested in landscape and nature will therefore find several concrete points of interest for planning a trip to Białogóra—from the protected forest fragments to the marked routes.

Routes of different lengths

The yellow Białogóra Route No. 12 is 3.7 km long and takes about 40 minutes to walk. The green Route No. 13 covers 5.3 km and runs mainly along unpaved forest tracks. These two routes differ both in their stated length and in the described surface. The red Route No. 14 is 9.1 km long and intended for hikers with an intermediate level of experience. The black Route No. 15 is 13.6 km long and starts on a nature trail. The different route lengths can help you factor the planned distance into your daily itinerary; an approximate walking time is also given for Route No. 12.

The Białogóra nature trail runs partly through Białogóra Nature Reserve, where it is open to visitors. This makes it possible to combine a visit to the nature trail with a look at the protected area. The descriptions of the individual routes provide different points of reference: distance, trail surface, experience level, or whether the route runs on or through the nature trail. Not all of these details apply to every route.

Promenade, beach and more to explore

A promenade connects Białogóra with the beach. If you would like to include the beach in your holiday plans as well as walks through the landscape, you can take this connection into account. One longer option is the Dębki–Białogóra–Dębki route: it is 16 km long and reaches Białogóra via beach access point No. 31. The distance refers to the entire route; access point No. 31 is the point through which it reaches Białogóra.

The parish church is also part of the village’s history. The present-day parish church in Białogóra was built between 1983 and 1986 and consecrated on 29 April 2008. This gives Białogóra a cultural point of interest in addition to its landscapes and routes. The natural areas, different hiking routes, connection to the beach and church each offer their own focus, rather than prescribing a single sightseeing itinerary.
