Maków Mazowiecki has a protected historic urban layout dating from the 15th and 19th centuries. The Corpus Christi parish church on Kościelna Street dates from the late 15th and 16th centuries. Maków Mazowiecki lies on the Orzyc River in the northern part of the Masovian Voivodeship, approximately 80 km north of Warsaw. The town is located at the intersection of National Roads 60 and 57, as well as on a tourist route from Warsaw towards the Masurian Lake District.
