The former inn at Rynek 16 reveals a different layering of architectural history: the building was constructed in the 1820s as the town’s second masonry building and stands on Baroque foundations and 18th-century cellars.

The brick house at 14 Floriańska Street dates from 1828 and originally belonged to the Kmit couple; two Tuscan columns and small gables above the windows adorn its façade. The present-day Chapel of St James is a neo-Gothic church built between 1883 and 1886. Every year, on the last Sunday in July, a traditional, festive indulgence in honour of the Apostle James is celebrated there. The multicultural themed trail complements this architectural history with eleven information boards placed at various locations in Gostynin. The town hall, former buildings and themed trail each provide a distinct focus; together, they offer different points of reference for the town’s history.

The trails described offer practical guidance for planning an active day. The green-marked “Leśna pętla” (Forest Loop) hiking trail is 15.5 kilometres long and starts at the Rynek in Gostynin. The yellow-marked “Szlak rynnowych jezior polodowcowych” (Post-Glacial Ribbon Lakes Trail) passes Gostynin railway station on its way to Lake Kocioł, one kilometre away.
