Paths Through the Park and City
The Ścieżka „Park Słowiański“ runs through a city park featuring various forest habitats, park ponds, the Bóbr River and the archaeological site „Gród Chrobry“. The „Kamienne Ślady Przeszłości“ tourist trail is 3 km long. It begins at the Domek Portiera, now the Centrum Informacji Turystycznej w Żaganiu, at the park entrance. From there, it passes the Domek Inspektora Parku and continues through Zacisze Doroty, Domek Wędkarski, Miejsce Marii and Wyspa Marii, ending at the former Oranżeria nad Bobrem and other sites connected with the history of the ducal park. For views over the city, you can also visit the tower of the former Protestant church. It was restored in 2004 and now serves as an observation tower, offering panoramic views of Żagań.
