Okuninka by Lake Białe is a popular holiday resort, also known nationwide as “polska Ibiza” and “perła Lubelszczyzny.” During the summer holidays, tens of thousands of holidaymakers and tourists may be there at the same time; this figure describes a seasonal peak, not a forecast for any particular day. The area offers supervised bathing areas and water sports, as well as cycling routes, leisure activities and a tourist information office in the center.
Bathing areas and water sports on Lake Białe
There are three municipal bathing areas on Lake Białe near Okuninka, supervised during the summer season. For the 2026 season, kayak, pedal boat and SUP board rentals have been announced in the center of Okuninka; availability and opening hours are seasonal. Kayaks, pedal boats, SUP boards and diving equipment are also available to rent in the surrounding area by Lake Białe. This lets you choose between supervised swimming and a range of activities on the water.
Two cycling routes with different features
The red-marked “Stykiem granic” cycling route is 26 km long and follows the Bug River. It runs through Okuninka, Sobiborski Landscape Park and the Jezioro Orchowe nature reserve, as well as through Dubnik at the Poland–Ukraine–Belarus tripoint. Along the route are twelve information boards, rest shelters and a viewing tower. Another, yellow-marked cycling route section connects Okuninka with Wola Uhruska: it is 32 km long and opened in summer 2001. The routes can therefore be distinguished by their length and markings; the red route also has the rest and information points mentioned above. Check current trail conditions before setting out.
Leisure activities for different kinds of holiday days
There are inflatable water parks for children. A leisure park’s main attraction is a 2-hectare maze. Those who make it through and find the complete map can then enjoy activities such as shooting with a plush slingshot, a bow or a paintball marker for free. The leisure park’s season opening was announced for July 12, 2026; access is seasonal.
Paintball is also available in Okuninka: there are three paintball fields, and a game lasts two hours. Booking enquiries should be made by phone. So, alongside swimming, water sports and cycling, there are other specific options to choose from when planning your day.
Getting around and finding a holiday apartment
The tourist information office is in the center of the resort, by the main beach. You can get free travel guides, maps and brochures about the Lublin region there; other materials are available for a fee. Bicycle rentals are also offered. Bikes can be returned at two locations in Włodawa: the tourist information office at ul. Partyzantów 25 and MOSiR at ul. Szkolna 4.
