History

Bystrzyca Nowa is a village in the Gmina Strzyżewice in Lublin County and in the Lublin Voivodeship in eastern Poland.
The cemetery originally contained 254 soldiers: 97 Austro-Hungarian and 157 Russian soldiers who died in 1914 and 1915.
The Palace of Bystrzyca Nowa is listed as a ruined palace and recorded in the heritage register under number A/293.
The former castle was destroyed by fire in 1943 and partially demolished two years later. Only fragments of the cellars and foundations remain; of the palace ruins, only the site remains.
At the beginning of the 16th century, the Żarczyński family built a castle in Bystrzyca Nowa.
