Leśnica lies on the valley floor of the stream of the same name, which divides the valley almost in half: Leśnica is on one side, and Groń on the other. The village also lies on the northern slopes of Pogórze Bukowińskie. The Zakopianka and National Road 49 bypass Leśnica; only a local road leads into the village. Church and Cultural Activities

Another cultural landmark is Walusiówka in Leśnica, a branch of the Dom Ludowy in Bukowina Tatrzańska. Play and Exercise Facilities

The Otwarta Strefa Aktywności is located behind the primary school in Leśnica. It includes a children’s playground and an outdoor fitness area, and was established in 2018 on the initiative of Stowarzyszenie Aktywna Leśnica – Groń. The playground and fitness area are two distinct parts of the same facility. For families with children, the playground is a useful landmark; the outdoor fitness area complements it with another option focused on exercise.

Droga Królewska over the Ridge

Droga Królewska, also known as Wierchowa, runs from Bukowina Tatrzańska over the ridge between Leśnica and Białka, then via Koszarków Wierch to Kobylarzówka in Groń. Both names refer to the same route. Unlike the stream running through the valley, this route follows the high ground: it passes several named points on its way to Groń.
