About 8.5 kilometres of it pass through the Gmina Bukowno and connect with other cycling routes in the Olkusz area, including the Jurajski Rowerowy Szlak Orlich Gniazd and the main route of the Wyżyna-Krakowsko-Częstochowska area. For planning purposes, it is useful to distinguish between the figures: the 8.5 kilometres refer to the section through the municipality.

Another cycling route leads south towards Diabla Góra. It can be extended by about 3.9 kilometres on forest tracks and is suitable for cycling. Conditions are different north of Bukowno, towards the Leśny Dwór Reservoir: there, sandy, unpaved tracks make even pushing a bicycle very difficult. As trail surfaces and access can change, it is worth checking the condition of the relevant sections before a cycling trip.

Regional History and Remembrance

The Regionalna Sala Muzealna displays minerals from Bukowno and the surrounding area, as well as the history of Polish money and postage stamps. Other exhibits include everyday items and objects from Zakłady Górniczo-Hutnicze w Bukownie. There are also reprints of newspapers from the Second World War, along with documents and photographs of the city. Nature and regional history are thus presented alongside insights into everyday life, industry and historical events.

The Regionalna Sala Muzealna hosts meetings with local history enthusiasts, as well as meetings of the Klubu Literackiego „Bukowy Liść“ and the Klubu Regionalistów. It also holds regional studies and museum classes. The Sztoła represents another change in the landscape: after the Olkusz-Pomorzany mine, which had previously supplied water to the river, was closed and the drainage pumps were switched off, the water level fell. The section of the Sztoła in Bukowno disappeared.
