Labowa combines cultural and historical themes with practical opportunities for active days. The village has a Jewish cemetery and a former Greek Catholic church; cycling, hiking and ski routes also start in Labowa. This combination offers two distinct ways to plan your trip: you can explore the village’s religious and architectural history, or plan your days around a circular ride or a longer route. When choosing a holiday rental, it helps to consider in advance which experiences you want to shape your stay and how much time you’ll need for each route.

Jewish Heritage and Historic Architecture

The Jewish cemetery in Labowa was established in the 19th century and contains around 250 tombstones in total. Its best-preserved central section comprises 15 aligned rows with a total of 154 matzevot, or tombstones. The tombstones of two rabbis are in rows 9 and 13. There is also a Catholic cemetery and an old Lemko Greek Catholic parish cemetery in Labowa. Together, these three sites make different religious traditions tangible as part of the village’s history.

Another cultural and historical landmark is the former brick Greek Catholic Church of the Protection of the Mother of God. It dates from 1784 and was endowed by Izabela Lubomirska. As a former Greek Catholic church, it represents a different kind of historical trace from the cemeteries: its architecture, dedication and benefactor all shape how it connects visitors with local history. Labowa thus offers both burial sites and a named church building as cultural and historical points of interest.

Cycling Loop, Nature Trail and Blue Routes

The 28-kilometre cycling route runs from Labowa via Uhryń, Łabowska Hala and Łabowiec, then back to Labowa. It can be planned as a loop that returns to its starting point. The named places give the route a specific sequence; check local conditions before setting off.

The Adam Stadnicki Nature Trail runs 28.9 kilometres from Labowa to Życzanów; its stated duration is 10 hours and 45 minutes. Blue hiking and ski routes also start in Labowa. They climb the Łabowiec Valley and continue to the mountain refuge on Hala Łabowska. This gives you different types of trips to choose from: a nature trail with a separate destination, or hiking and ski routes towards the mountain refuge.

At 28 and 28.9 kilometres respectively, the cycling route and nature trail are similar in length, but offer different day plans: the cycling route loops back to Labowa, while the nature trail has a stated duration of 10 hours and 45 minutes and ends in Życzanów. When planning with your family, these differences are more useful than comparing the distances alone. If you choose a holiday rental in Labowa, you can use the village as a starting point for the routes that begin there and include the nature trail’s destination in your day’s plan. Check local trail conditions before setting out.
