Valley and surrounding hills
Kąclowa lies at an elevation of about 400 metres in the valley of the Biała River, at the foot of Chełm (779 m) to the east. To the west are Modynianka (679 m) and Jaworze (882 m), and to the north, Rosochatka (753 m). To the south are Mała Kiczerka (545 m), Dział (682 m), Ubocz (620 m) and Wojenna Góra (794 m). Kąclowa is particularly known for its beautiful views in the Chełm area. The combination of the river valley and named hills gives the landscape a distinct character. Churches and chapel
The Church of St. Adalbert in Kąclowa is part of the Wooden Architecture Route in Małopolska. Its auxiliary church was built from 1926 to 1929 to a design by Z. Mączeński. The design was based on the traditional regional building style. The church also houses an organ dating from 1793, making it older than the church building. The construction period, design and organ offer different points of historical interest: regional architectural tradition on the one hand, and an 18th-century instrument on the other.
The Chapel of Our Lady of Częstochowa offers a different architectural accent. It was built in 1858 as a foundation by Stanisława Skraba. The building is made of stone, plastered and covered with roof tiles. The semicircular entrance is closed off by an openwork gate. Inside are an image of Our Lady of Częstochowa and statues of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Together, the church and chapel present different features: one has a design based on regional building traditions, while the other is defined by its described stone architecture and religious furnishings.
Hiking and cycling
A green hiking trail leads from Grybów through Kąclowa towards Jaworze. The cycling route starts in Ptaszkowa, passes through Królowa, Bogusza, Binczarowa and Kąclowa to Grybów, and then returns to Ptaszkowa. The two routes offer different ways to plan: the hiking trail continues through Kąclowa towards Jaworze, while the cycling route lists several places, with Ptaszkowa as both the start and return point.
