History

Rogoźnik is located in the Podhale region on the Rogoźnik stream.

The place was first documented in 1237; later, it belonged to the Cistercians in Ludźmierz and, from the 14th century onwards, was part of the royal estates.

The settlement lies at an elevation of approximately 610 to 700 metres above sea level.

A 37-kilometre-long cycle route on the former railway line from Nowy Targ towards the Slovak border passes through Rogożnik and is part of the cycling loop around the Tatra Mountains.
