Accommodation in Widoma
Sports facilities and sacred history give Widoma two distinct facets. The municipal sports complex was completed in May 2026 and officially opened on 25 May 2026; at the same time, the wayside chapel and parish church reflect different chapters in the area’s religious and architectural history. This combination gives you a clear basis for assessing the area according to your travel interests: outdoor activity and historic buildings offer different points of interest.

Sports facilities and activity
The sports complex includes two playing fields, an athletics track and a long-jump facility. It also has a football pitch with artificial turf. These facilities cater to different disciplines: the playing fields are for ball games and team sports, while the track and long-jump facility are for athletics. This makes it possible to describe Widoma’s sporting profile more precisely, rather than reducing it to a single sport. This is useful when choosing where to stay if municipal sports facilities are a particular interest of yours.
A municipal entry from 2022 lists playgrounds and an outdoor exercise station at the school in Widoma as publicly accessible recreational facilities. This means that, alongside the complex opened in 2026, the school grounds are also a point of reference for play and exercise.
Wayside chapel and church history
The wayside chapel of Our Lady of Częstochowa has stood in Widoma since 1881. It was built as an expression of the faith of the local population. This gives the area’s history a clearly dated religious landmark, distinct from the building and community history of the parish church.
The present-day Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul has passed through several historical stages. The building permit was issued in March 1988; the following year, the cornerstone blessed by John Paul II in Tarnów was laid. In December 1997, Bishop Kazimierz Ryczan established the parish of the same name. Bishop Jan Piotrowski consecrated the church after the parish community had waited four decades for its consecration. The permit, cornerstone laying, establishment of the parish and consecration mark different stages and place the church within a longer local history.
Getting your bearings on the E7
National road E7, which runs through Widoma, is also important for getting your bearings. Its route connects Elbląg, Warszawa, Radom, Skarżysko Kamienna, Kielce, Kraków and Chyżne. In the municipality, it passes through Domiarki and Widoma. A regional road in Widoma was formerly part of the E7. Road numbers and route statuses can change, so check current signage and navigation before travelling.
