Culture

The Kronenberg Palace and Park Complex comprises an orangery wing, the neo-Gothic Stary Dwór Palace, as well as a park, gatehouse and enclosure, all of which are listed as historic monuments.

Parkowa Street forms a historic ensemble with the parish cemetery, the Church of the Transfiguration and the Kronenberg Palace. The Church of the Transfiguration was opened in 1964 after the previous church had been destroyed during the war; its neo-Gothic high altar comes from Włocławek Cathedral.

The history of the place is documented as early as 1252: Wieniec was mentioned that year, had a mill on the Zgłowiączka at the latest since the late 13th century, and had a parish by 1380.

The Kronenberg Palace was built from 1890 to 1892 as an eclectic residence; it was designed by the architect Artur Goebel.
