A re-enactment of the Battle of Płowce takes place every year in Radziejów County, near the destination. The battle was fought near Radziejów on 27 September 1331 during the Polish-Teutonic War. Churches and history

The parish church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built at its present location in 1331, founded by Jan Grot, Bishop of Kraków. The Franciscan church was elevated to a shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help on 14 September 2014.
