On 15 May 2026, the Muzeum Ziemi Mogileńskiej in Chabsko opened the permanent exhibition “Sztuka Ziemi Mogileńskiej”. Another exhibition at the museum focuses on folk culture and folk art, crafts, and the everyday lives of the region’s residents. The subjects range from artistic expression and practical skills to people’s ways of life. This gives visitors different ways to engage with regional culture, rather than limiting their focus to a single topic.

The 24th “Chlebem i Miodem” festival also featured a mix of looking, tasting, and taking part: visitors could sample local specialities and view and buy handicrafts. There were also soap-making and pottery workshops. The programme may vary from one edition to the next, so these activities do not necessarily describe the programme of another edition.

A Suggested Cycling Loop for Your Plans

The suggested route around Jezioro Kamienieckie is about 30 km long and passes through Chabsko and the Muzeum Ziemi Mogileńskiej. Culture and Cycling Routes in the Wider Mogilno Destination

The wider Mogilno destination offers other historical highlights. The Klasztor pobenedyktyński and its church were built by Benedictines in Mogilno in the 11th century, on a small hill on the north-eastern shore of Jezioro Mogileńskie. The church retains the original form of a Romanesque basilica, combined with Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque features. Its western crypt is considered one of three crypts of its kind in Europe.

The Fara, the church of św. Jakuba Apostoła in Mogilno, offers a different perspective on sacred architecture: it is a Gothic church dating from 1511. Its main altar features an 18th-century painting of Saint James the Greater. Mogilno’s Park Miejski, with its summer amphitheatre and fountain, has renovated paths and new lighting. The amphitheatre has 300 seats and is used for concerts and outdoor events in summer; this means its stated use is seasonal and is not tied to a particular event date.

Mogilno also offers routes of different lengths for comparison when choosing a cycling route. TRASA nr 8 (MDW) is about 14 km long, runs around Jezioro Wiecanowskie, and starts and ends in Mogilno. TRASA nr 1 (MSK), about 28 km long, connects Mogilno with Kalwaria Mogileńska and then returns to Mogilno. Both Mogilno routes are suggestions and are currently not signposted.
