History

Kawcze has documented medieval origins: written records date back to the second half of the 14th century; the place was first mentioned in 1387. The former residence of the von Langendorff family was built in the second half of the 19th century and designed with architectural references to Italian Renaissance city palaces.

The former estate included a landscaped park, extensive farm buildings and a family tomb chapel associated with the von Langendorff family. The design of the chapel refers to Neoclassicism.

In 1819, two weaving workshops were operating in Kawcze; they worked for linen weavers in Bojanowo.
