Brenno offers several ways to enjoy a holiday by the lake: the “Brenno Ostrów” swimming area is on Plażowa in Brenno, on Lake Białe-Miałkie. There are also four cycling route options, each starting and ending in Brenno, as well as a church with a Neoclassical high altar and a historic post mill. If you’re looking for a holiday apartment in Brenno, you can consider whether you’d like your trip to focus more on the water, cycling tours or historic buildings.

Four Cycling Routes with Different Lengths

The routes differ in their marker colours, the places they pass through and their lengths. The orange-marked Cycling Route 1 is the second-longest at 21 kilometres. From Brenno, it runs via Wijewo, Potrzebowo, Sława, Śmieszkowo, Spokojna, Kaszczor and Wieleń before returning to its starting point. Following the sequence of towns on a map reveals a longer loop with several stops along the way.

The blue Cycling Route 2 is 15 kilometres long, making it the shortest of the four routes described. It runs from Brenno via Górsko, Olejnica, Osłonin, Wieleń and Wijewo, then back to Brenno. Unlike Route 1, the listed sequence of towns starts with Górsko and then passes through Olejnica and Osłonin. Both routes include Wieleń and Wijewo, but place them differently along their respective routes.

At 17 kilometres, the green-marked Cycling Route 3 is between these two in length. It runs from Brenno via Zaborówiec, Dominice, Górsko and Miastko, then back to Brenno. The red Cycling Route 4 is the longest at 23 kilometres. It runs from Brenno via Zaborówiec, Włoszakowice, Boszkowo, Dominice and Górsko, then back. Both routes pass through Zaborówiec, Dominice and Górsko; the red route also includes Włoszakowice and Boszkowo and is six kilometres longer than the green one.

The stated distances make it easy to compare route lengths, but do not by themselves indicate how long each route will take. When choosing, you can first consider which length and sequence of towns best suit your planned cycling day. All four routes start and end in Brenno, but differ in the other places they include.

Discover the Church and Mill

The buildings offer different points of interest. The church “kościół pw. św. Jadwigi” in Brenno dates from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. The parish church contains a Neoclassical high altar. If you’re interested in architectural history, Brenno offers both a specific interior feature and a date range for the church’s construction.

A historic post mill, a Koźlak, dating from 1794 also stands on the road to Ostrów. Its design and stated year of construction set it apart from the church: here, a windmill from the late 18th century stands in contrast to a church built around the turn of the 19th century. Both sites are a reason to make your stay about more than just cycling routes or the swimming area.

Choose the Right Focus for Your Stay

When looking for accommodation in Brenno, it’s worth weighing up your holiday plans: would you like to focus on the “Brenno Ostrów” swimming area on Lake Białe-Miałkie, compare the different cycling routes or explore the church and mill in particular? The four cycling routes offer a clear choice based on distance and the places they pass through, while the historic buildings add a different kind of discovery. This lets you tailor your search for a holiday apartment in Brenno to the experiences that matter most to you during your stay.
