The breakdown specifies the different surfaces along the route: most of it runs through the forest, while the remaining section is paved with concrete. In addition, modern, safe pedestrian and cycle paths connect Margonin with Młynary, Lipiny, Próchnowo and Studźce. Church, palace and park
The complex of religious buildings around St. Wojciech's Church includes more than the church itself. It also comprises a bell tower with gates and a churchyard enclosed by a stone wall. To the east, the rectory and its garden adjoin the complex. The church has a Late Baroque exterior dating from its remodelling in 1753. Its interior retains furnishings from the second half of the 18th century: three altars, a pulpit and Rococo confessionals. Among the paintings are a Madonna and Child from 1600 and a painting of the Crucified Christ from 1680.
The Neo-Gothic palace of the von Schwichow family is also part of Margonin's architectural history. It was built between 1842 and 1852 on the site of the Skórzewski family residence. Another historic landmark is the park laid out by Fryderyk Skórzewski in 1788. A memorial stone to the creator of the Polish national anthem stands there. This allows you to broaden the focus of your stay beyond water sports and the beach to include architectural and local history.
