In the centre of Fannrem stands the standing stone “Steinar Fandremmma”, which is considered a prehistoric monument. It is about 4 metres tall, with 2.4 metres above ground. These measurements give a concrete sense of the stone’s size, without replacing its historical classification. The sculpture “Go`foten” is also located near Stasjonsparken. It honours coach Nils Arne Eggen and adds a very different note: the focus here is on a celebrated person, rather than a prehistoric monument.
