At Elnesvågen harbour is the Elnesvågen activity park and swimming spot. For a different view of the coast, take the Elnestangen coastal trail near the centre: at the rest area, you are right by the water and can look out over Frænafjord. This clearly distinguishes two focal points for planning a visit: the harbour with its swimming spot, and the coastal trail with its rest area and fjord views. There is good parking near the activity park and swimming spot. Local parking regulations may change, so check them before your visit.

Water Views or a Hiking Destination

If you are looking for a hike with a summit destination rather than immediate water views, Klempertåsen lies west of Elnesvågen. The route is a family hike through easy terrain leading to a small summit; from Klempertåsen, you can quickly enjoy views of the fjord and mountains. Comparing it with the Elnestangen coastal trail can help you choose an outing: Klempertåsen combines a hike with a summit and landscape views, while the coastal trail combines time by the water with views over Frænafjord. You can travel to Klempertåsen by bus from Molde to Eidem vest or Elnesvågen. For parking for the hike, you can use Helsehuset in Eidem vest, the former Istad Kraft building in Elnesvågen.

The Konglebu shelter is on the Klempertåsen route. It has games, a hiking logbook and play opportunities for children. From Konglebu, you can descend to Håset or continue on to Løset. Both the facilities at the shelter and the choice between the two onward routes are therefore part of planning this hike.

Elvedliten: a Short Loop at Haukåssetra

Elvedliten is a short circular hike near Haukåssetra. The car park is at the top of Hauglia and is signposted from the main road by Rema 100 in Elnesvågen. However, the trail itself is not signposted or marked. It follows the left bank of the river and returns to the lit path. After heavy rain, parts of the riverside trail may be wet; appropriate footwear is recommended. Elvedliten and Klempertåsen offer different types of routes: a short loop at Haukåssetra versus a hike leading to a small summit.

If you are considering Elnesvågen as a holiday destination, you can organise your outings by what they offer: a harbour and swimming spot, a rest area by the water with views over Frænafjord, or hiking trails with a summit or loop as their destination. When looking for a holiday rental in Elnesvågen, these interests can help you decide which experiences you would like to include in your plans. The bus connection and the parking options mentioned also help you plan your journey to Klempertåsen and Elvedliten.
