Sørvågen Radio is a telecommunications museum in the former telegraph and telephone exchange. The building was constructed in 1914 to a design by Lilla Georgine Hansen, Norway’s first female architect. Sørvågen Radio thus connects a specific place with a wider historical theme. Walks and a safari on the water

In Sørvågen, you can walk to the waterfall at Studalselva. Alternatively, take a walk around Lake Sørvågvatnet. The park aims to provide the public with undisturbed nature experiences through low-impact, simple outdoor activities with little technical infrastructure. The Lofotodden Nature Reserve in Moskenes municipality protects a valuable coastal area and its native plant and animal life, and is a particularly valuable breeding ground for cormorants and various auks.

Kollhellaren, the Refsvikhula cave, is also part of Moskenes’s cultural heritage. It is Norway’s largest cave with cave paintings, which are approximately 3,000 years old. Thirty-five human-like stick figures are spread across three painted panels. This is a different subject from the telecommunications history of the village: travellers who want to include cultural history, nature and archaeological heritage in their plans will find additional, clearly distinct areas of interest across the Moskenes destination.

From Reinebringen, the view stretches across the village of Reine and over wild fjords and mountains. Bunes Beach lies on the north side of Moskenes in Lofotodden National Park and can only be reached by boat.
