Culture and festivals
On 20 June 2025, the traditional festival “Ryškėnų vasara su Jonais ir Janinomis” took place in Ryškėnai Park. The festival featured a presentation of Žemaitian cuisine, with traditional dishes available for tasting and preparation methods explained.
The Ryškėnai Cultural Centre organises summer creative camps for children and young people. The members of the village community of Ryškėnai and Gläubige commemorated the 25th anniversary of the Šv. Brunono Kverfurtiečio koplyčia with a Mass and a celebration at the cultural centre.
In 2025, Ryškėnai hosted the national festival of folk music ensembles “Eikim vyrai pas mergas”. In the same year, the regional live music groups festival “Akordų mūšis” was held there. Also in 2025, Ryškėnai hosted the dance festival “Onyte, einam su manim pašokti 2025”.
Ryškėnai is home to the A. Gedvilas open-air museum of folk art, also known as the estate of the Žemaitian King Ringaudas. The festival “Ryškėnų vasara žemaitiškai” traditionally began with sports competitions in the Žemaitija region.
