The Alkiškių Evangelical Lutheran Church was begun in 1861 and consecrated in 1865. Its site originally served as a prayer house and a branch of the Šiaulių Evangelical Lutheran Church. The church is one of three Latvian churches that survived in Lithuania after the Second World War.

Culture
The history of finds from the area also dates back a long way: a hoard containing around 370 silver coins from the 16th and 17th centuries was found in Alkiškiai. Part of the hoard is kept at the Vilniaus istorijos ir etnografijos muziejus.

The Alkiškių miškas, also known as Alkiškių pušynas, is located directly next to Alkiškiai. The state-owned forest covers around 100 hectares and is classified as a forest park.
The hills of Luokavos Piliakalnis, Skutskalns, Kukuru Kalns and Lāču Kalns lie in the wider regional surroundings of Alkiškiai.
Water
On the Dabikinė, there is a section for water excursions near Alkiškiai on the right bank in the direction of Akmenė. Kayaks, canoes or similar paddle boats are recommended for this section.
Municipal local bus route no. 74, running on the Akmenė–Daubiškiai–Sablauskiai–Akmenė route, passes through Alkiškiai and has a stop there.
