Hiking
The Camino de Santiago through Alytus District follows the route Punia–Paliepiai–Raižiai–Tabalenka–Radvilonys–Bazorai–Karkliniškės–Takniškiai–Alytus. The 29.6-kilometre Punia–Alytus section of the Camino de Santiago passes through Tabalenka. Approximately 7.5 hours are allotted for hiking this section.

In Tabalenka, the rural tourism homestead “Meilės laiptai” offers a hall with seating for up to 80 people and sleeping quarters.
Culture and History
The wooden Raižiai Mosque, built in 1889, is located near Tabalenka. In the area around Tabalenka, the Raižiai Mosque was the only mosque in Lithuania to remain in operation during the Soviet era. In the area around Tabalenka, Raižiai is considered the capital of the Lithuanian Tatars.
In Pivašiūnai Eldership, week-long indulgence celebrations for Žolinė and the Nativity of the Virgin Mary are held at Pivašiūnai Church.
Nature
In Pivašiūnai Eldership, the recreational area at Lake Ilgis has a sports field, lighting, paths, a pier extending into the lake, changing rooms, pavilions, a viewing platform at Lake Ilgis and a car park. The Pivašiūnai Geomorphological Reserve is located in Pivašiūnai Eldership. In Pivašiūnai Eldership, the shape of Pivašiūnai Hillfort can best be seen from the churchyard.
Culinary Traditions and Crafts
During a guided tour in Raižiai, visitors can learn about the lives of the Tatars in the area and sample Šimtalapis. In Pivašiūnai Eldership, the Pivašiūnai Craft Centre offers baking and tasting experiences featuring Dzūkian potato bands, buckwheat babkas, cakes, pastries and Kūčiukai. In Pivašiūnai Eldership, the Pivašiūnai Craft Centre offers courses in wood carving, pottery, felting, candle making, and knitting patterned woollen socks and woollen gloves.
