Brenzone lies on the eastern shore of Lake Garda and connects two distinctive landscapes: the area stretches from the lakeside to the peaks of Monte Baldo, which rise to over 2,000 metres. The Nordic Walking Park di Brenzone offers a different perspective. It comprises seven official routes: four circular routes by the lake and three high-altitude trails accessible from Prada. There is also a fixed point of reference on the water: Navigarda operates three landing stages in the Brenzone area. Medieval villages and special landmarks

Campo is a medieval village that is now uninhabited and accessible only on foot. The character of the place shapes the exploration and creates a deliberate contrast with the accessible paths along the lakeside.

In Castelletto, the Villa Romana near the Chiesa di San Zeno was discovered in 2004. It is considered the only excavated example so far of a lakeside residence on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. The Chiesa medievale San Zeno features Romanesque forms from the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries. Access is provided by keys that can be collected from the tourist information office in exchange for a deposit.

The Pietra di Castelletto is considered the only European example of this engraving technique outside the Valcamonica area. The church of San Nicola di Mira also leads into the medieval history of the area: it was built between the 11th and 12th centuries and preserves medieval frescoes.

Olive oil and days by the water

Brenzone’s local character is also reflected in the Festa di Santa Caterina, celebrated on 25 November. At an oil mill in Castelletto, visitors can watch the pressing of the olives. During the tourist season, olive oil tastings are organised at the Oleificio Piccoli Produttori di Castelletto.
