Cycling through Curtarolo

The start and finish of PieveGravel are located in Piazza Pieve di Curtarolo. PieveGravel is an adventure for people who enjoy exploring unpaved roads in nature while sharing the effort and the experience with others. At Pieve di Curtarolo, the Ciclovia Treviso-Ostiglia rises above ground level and connects to a new cycle bridge to cross the Brenta River. On May 1, the traditional Pedalata per le vie di Curtarolo takes place; in 2026, its 30th edition serves as an opportunity to get to know the area.

Nature along the Brenta

In the hamlet of Pieve di Curtarolo, the Area Verde Palazzina is located near the Brenta River. It includes a wooden building, an equipped area, a green space and an adjoining car park. In the hamlet of Palazzina, near Pieve di Curtarolo on the Brenta, short walks in nature are possible on foot or by bicycle.

Churches and spiritual heritage

The Oratorio di San Francesco is part of an ancient complex dating back to the 13th century. Its apse preserves a cycle of frescoes attributed to pupils of the school of Giusto de Menabuoi or possibly to Giusto de Menabuoi himself. The Santuario della Beata Vergine di Tessara is a place of worship and prayer and has been an important point of reference for centuries for the communities of Santa Maria di Non, Pieve and Curtarolo, as well as for the entire Alta Padovana. For centuries, the Madonna di Tessara has attracted numerous pilgrims every year to the church set amid the greenery of the plain.

Villa Bozza and its artistic traces

Villa Bozza is a recently restored 19th-century building standing on the site of an earlier 16th-century villa that belonged to Pietro Bembo. Beneath the entrance portico is a cast of a precious marble relief that Pietro Bembo commissioned from a renowned sculptor of his time in the 16th century. Villa Bozza also preserves numerous Art Nouveau influences, as well as mythological decorations and frescoes on the façade and in the interiors.

Pieve di Curtarolo in the townscape

The parish church of Pieve di Curtarolo is dedicated to Santa Giuliana. The present church building features neoclassical forms. Extensive restoration began in 2001 and was completed in 2011 with the restoration of the bell tower and the redesign of the square.

Events in 2026

The Festa della Birra takes place from September 4 to September 6, 2026, and includes music as well as a food stall; 2026 is its third edition. In Pieve di Curtarolo, the Antica sagra Madonna del Carmine event takes place from July 17 to July 21, 2026.
