Correzzola features a low-lying plain whose landscape is shaped by drainage canals and ditches. To the north, the Bacchiglione borders the town. At the same time, Correzzola preserves a canal system shaped by the Benedictines, a historic network of roads and rural buildings decorated with the coats of arms of the Benedictines and, later, the Melzi D’Eril family. Pedestrian and cycling connection along the Bacchiglione

Next to the Corte Benedettina di Correzzola, a pedestrian and cycle bridge crosses the Bacchiglione to the opposite bank in the area of Pontelongo. This creates a concrete spatial connection between the Corte, the river and a route for pedestrians or cyclists. Benedictine traces in the townscape

From 1500 onwards, the Corte Benedettina di Correzzola was the operational centre of the extensive transformation of the area begun by the monks of Santa Giustina. In the centre of Correzzola, the parish church of San Leonardo, dedicated to Saint Leonard, stands on the piazza. The Corte Domenicale was built between the 15th and 17th centuries and developed along the river course with several farmyards. The two Corti differ in terms of their dates: from 1500 for the Corte Benedettina and between the 15th and 17th centuries for the Corte Domenicale. Together, these places offer different ways of approaching Correzzola’s history: landscape development, sacred architecture and rural courtyard structures.

In the Gastaldia di Brenta d’Abbà, the Fattorie di San Luca are located on Via Castello. Via Melzi also has car parks in the immediate vicinity of the Corte Benedettina di Correzzola and the municipal administration offices. Churches and traditions in Terranova

The Chiesetta di Isola Terranova is a church dating from 1217 and dedicated to San Geminiano. The Chiesa Parrocchiale di Terranova houses a painting depicting Jesus on the cross. In Terranova, therefore, San Geminiano is associated with the Chiesetta di Isola Terranova, while the parish church’s painting depicts Jesus on the cross.
