In Chiesa di Santa Caterina, frescoes by the Filocamo brothers from 1729 decorate the walls; among them is a depiction of the martyrdom of Saint Catherine. Chiesa di Santa Caterina is a recently restored 18th-century church in the heart of Condrò’s historic centre. In the upper part of Condrò are the ruins of an ancient 17th-century monastery. Visitors can admire the ruins. Because of its deterioration, the monastery was abandoned and subsequently irreparably damaged by a fire. Thus, restored church architecture and the visible traces of an abandoned monastery offer different historical impressions.
