Meina's history includes several religious buildings with clearly datable features. The parish church of Santa Margherita was consecrated in 1785, replacing an older Romanesque church. Its apse contains three frescoes from 1817. The Romanesque bell tower of the church of Santa Maria Assunta provides a different historical focal point: it dates from the late 11th century, is approximately 30 metres high and has seven levels.
