Massino Visconti preserves a large part of its historic town centre, with notable medieval buildings. In the square in front of the primary school stands the Monumento all'Ombrellaio. The sculptor Luigi Canuto created it in 1972 to commemorate the many umbrella makers from Massino and the Vergante who practised this profession from the beginning of the 19th to the beginning of the 20th century.

The Castello Visconteo forms an extensive complex with a massive tower dating from 1548 and 1555, later buildings, courtyards and gardens. Only the Romanesque bell tower remains of the original building. It dates from between 1025 and 1050, has a square floor plan and six levels. The square apse contains a rich cycle of 15th-century frescoes attributed to the workshop of Giovanni de Campo.

Three superimposed chapels were added later, forming a distinctive complex of Alpine Romanesque art. Traditions and Getting There
The festival in honour of the Madonna della Cintura takes place every year on the third Sunday in August.
