The Santuario della Madonna del Castello stands on a mountain overlooking Invorio Superiore. The oratory is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Belt and was built on the remains of a Visconti castle. Santa Maria del Barro stands on the summit of an extensive plateau; a stone in the apse bears the year 1484.
The parish church Parrocchiale di San Giacomo was completed in 1689 and is dedicated to the patron saint San Giacomo. Its presbytery features a star-shaped mosaic. Access is permitted during services. In Barquedo, the Madonna “Stella Matutina” is venerated in the Chiesa dei Santi Grato e Maurizio. In Invorio Superiore, the Chiesa di San Rocco is a typical 17th-century building; access there is also permitted during services.
The Torre viscontea is the best-preserved part of a complex of buildings from the 12th and 13th centuries that formed the Visconti castle of Invorio. It is privately owned and not open to the public. The Alto Vergante is the highland area at the foot of Mottarone, stretching between the municipality of Invorio and the hamlet of Levo in Stresa.
