Porto Sant'Elpidio combines a strong coastal character with culture, events and opportunities for active days. The coastline stretches for approximately 7 kilometres, and the beach is rocky or gravelly. In a pine forest overlooking the sea, you can discover another side of the area's landscape. When choosing a holiday apartment in Porto Sant'Elpidio, it is therefore worth weighing your own holiday priorities between the sea, activities, culture and regional impressions.

A cycle path runs along Porto Sant'Elpidio's seafront promenade. The Ciclovia Adriatica Sud also leads from Porto Sant'Elpidio to Torre di Palme. These two signposted connections provide different starting points for planning your trip: you can view the coastal landscape by bicycle or include a longer route along the Adriatic in your considerations. The coastal waters of Porto Sant'Elpidio are suitable for windsurfing and kitesurfing, making the area appealing to visitors who would like to complement their stay with water sports.
A distinctive historical landmark is Villa Baruchello, which was built in the second half of the 18th century. The original building of the Santuario Santa Maria della Corva dates back to 1548. The Santuario Santa Maria della Corva was declared a Marian shrine on 21 June 1958 and is a pilgrimage destination for people from the surrounding towns. In Porto Sant'Elpidio, different forms of local history and religious significance thus come together.
Events for different interests
The cultural programme also offers several options. Villa Baruchello presents a live music programme with five evenings, ranging from jazz and opera to symphonic music. The Teatro delle Api is a municipal theatre hosting concerts, performances, conferences, meetings and discussion events. As part of the “Tutti a Teatro” series, the Teatro delle Api programme also includes performances for children and young people. The International Children's Theatre Festival takes place at the Teatro delle Api in July.
For an insight into local market and shopping opportunities, the Mercato di Campagna Amica di Porto Sant’Elpidio is held at Piazza Wojtyla, in the square opposite the Chiesa di San Pio X. The weekly open-air shoe market Il Salotto della Calzatura also takes place in the centre. From 25 June to 3 September 2026, shoes are sold there on Thursday evenings directly by the manufacturers.
