The present-day Chiesa di San Nicolò di Bari was rebuilt from 1763 onwards and consecrated in 1772. Inside, it houses the altarpiece “Madonna con Bambino e Santi”, created in 1603 and the first signed work by Antonino Sarti. During the Christmas season, the Gothic crypt serves as the setting for a live nativity scene and temporary exhibitions. The Chiesa di San Marcello e Santa Maria del Monte was the first parish church of Poggio San Marcello.

Sartarelli’s In Verdicchio Veritas Museum is dedicated to the history of Verdicchio. It displays pictures, documents and curiosities relating to this wine, from its origins to its present-day success. The museum was built beside Sartarelli’s farmhouse dating from 1882, the historic headquarters of the company. The museum thus complements the churches and castle walls with a focus on the region’s wine-making tradition.

Parco del Trabocco is a natural area in a valley basin that forms the boundary between the municipalities of Montecarotto and Poggio San Marcello. The park includes the ruins of an old mill.
