Corinaldo Between Walls and the Piaggia
Corinaldo combines a clearly recognisable history with distinctive buildings. The current outline of the walls dates from 1367 and was expanded between 1480 and 1490. The older walls and the later extension thus together form part of the town’s historic character. Selva di Boccalupo and Parco delle Fonti therefore differ in vegetation, facilities and historic buildings.
A day at the walls and the Piaggia therefore follows a different rhythm from a day between Selva di Boccalupo and Parco delle Fonti.
A Local Speciality with a Seasonal Connection
According to tradition, Pecorelle are a Christmas pastry from Corinaldo that was baked on the day before Epiphany. Its firm connection to this baking day places the speciality within Corinaldo’s Christmas customs.
