The Sentiero Valtellina cycle and hiking path can be reached in Tresenda via the bridge over the Adda River and followed or cycled in both directions. The Sentiero Valtellina bicycle rental network includes E-BIKE OFFICINA VALETTI at Via Falck 1 in Tresenda di Teglio. For an uphill tour, the Salita da Tresenda a Teglio cycling route starts in Tresenda and reaches Teglio in about an hour. Part of this tour runs along the Sentiero Valtellina, a cycle path beside the Adda River. The Tresenda–Teglio–Prato Valentino e-bike route starts and ends in Tresenda. The different route options make it easier to plan cycling days according to direction, elevation gain and circuit.

Trails, vineyards and wildlife watching

The surrounding area is just as varied on foot. The final section of CamminaForeste Stage 18 reaches Tresenda through chestnut woods after a steep and demanding descent. Chamois, red deer and roe deer can be observed along this stage; wolf tracks may also be found. The Val Caronella lies near Tresenda within the Parco delle Orobie Valtellinesi. It offers hiking trails suitable for everyone, as well as surprising views over the central Valtellina. The Ca' Branchi–Somasassa–Caven–Tresenda walking route includes a downhill section with views over Tresenda and passes through terraced vineyards where Valgella, a Valtellina Superiore DOCG, is produced. La Perla di Marco Triacca grows Nebbiolo and Pignola valtellinese in a contiguous 3.5-hectare vineyard at an altitude of approximately 400 metres. For more active days, a rock face in the surrounding area offers 25 equipped climbing routes for different climbing styles.

Culture in Tresenda and nearby Teglio

The parish church of San Michele in Tresenda was built between 1925 and 1932. Its main altar includes a painted and gilded wooden altarpiece from the 17th century, as well as a painting of the Archangel Michael, which is more likely attributed to Gian Giacomo Barbello. In nearby Teglio, Palazzo Besta is a Renaissance palace whose interiors are decorated with fresco cycles on biblical, mythological and historical themes from the 16th century. On the ground floor of Palazzo Besta, the Antiquarium Tellinum houses a collection of prehistoric engraved stelae from the Copper Age, the 3rd millennium BC. Restaurants associated with the Accademia del Pizzocchero di Teglio serve pizzoccheri according to the certified original recipe. This makes it possible to combine excursions into history and art with a regional culinary experience.
