In Domofole, the later Church of Santa Maria Maddalena, dating from the 18th century, has a simple, rustic architectural form. Its gabled façade and exterior, entirely constructed in exposed stone, define its architectural impression. Castello di Domofole was finally demolished in 1524, when the Grisons decommissioned the fortifications of the newly conquered valleys. The Chiesa di San Fedele was completely rebuilt at the beginning of the 18th century. Its chapels contain valuable paintings by Carlo Innocenzo Carloni. Marble, inlay work and goldsmith work adorn the church; these furnishings were donated largely by emigrated residents, particularly those living in Rome. Festivals featuring regional cuisine

The festivals also add their own distinctive touches. In Poira di Mello, an Alpini gathering takes place every year in July; polenta taragna with sausages, ribs and cheese is served there. In August, Mello celebrates the feast of Saint Abbondio. A communal meal featuring roast lamb follows the liturgy. The two celebrations therefore differ in their month, occasion and dishes. Assigning them to July and August distributes the festivals across two consecutive summer months.
