The Chiesa della Natività di Maria Vergine is also known as Madonna De Lura. Its origins appear to date back a long way; a document from 1095 reports its consecration by Pope Urban II. A Roman necropolis with cremation burials was discovered at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in 1889. These graves are dated to the period between AD 96 and 192. The Oratory of Saints Peter and Paul was consecrated in 1574.

Industrial history as a distinctive feature

Tessiture Meccaniche Stucchi was founded in the 19th century and employed more than 1,000 people within just a few decades. The complex preserves original features such as sawtooth roofs, fences with brick bands and some Liberty-style details. Some buildings remain from the now-disused factory in Lurate Caccivio and are considered an example of industrial archaeology.
