Holiday apartment in Consiglio Di Rumo amid history and mountain trails
Consiglio Di Rumo combines a documented local history with a variety of hiking opportunities in the mountain landscape. The parish church has been documented since 1374; an earlier origin is presumed. Its bell tower dates from the 16th century and has a natural-stone shaft with Romanesque decorations.
Hiking routes with different focuses
The Via dei Monti Lariani is part of the Lombard section of the Sentiero Italia. It is approximately 125 km long and consists mostly of trails and mule tracks. On stage B06, the route passes through Garzeno, Germasino, Stazzona, Consiglio Di Rumo, Gravedona, Dosso del Liro and Peglio. In this sequence, Consiglio Di Rumo lies between Stazzona and Gravedona. The long overall route can be divided into sections for a day of hiking; B06 runs from Garzeno to Peglio.
Panoramas, forests and pastureland
The hike Sui passi del Matto di Brenzio runs over the first ridges of Monte Cortafon and offers expansive panoramic views of the plain of Dongo, Valtellina and the opposite lakeshore. The peaks of Monte l'Usciolo, Costone del Bregagno, Cardinello and Punta Rasella are also located around Consiglio Di Rumo. The route Stagn (Cima dello) passes through the small village of Vincino and then enters the Valle del Fiumetto. Its path runs through chestnut forests, beech forests and pastureland. Those looking for panoramic views can choose Sui passi del Matto di Brenzio; Stagn (Cima dello) passes through Vincino, into the Valle del Fiumetto and through these forests and pastureland.
Information for your day of hiking
Access to the hike Stagn (Cima dello) leads from Consiglio Di Rumo along the municipal road beside the cemetery at the SS Regina. The route initially follows a paved road and then an unpaved road to the hamlet of Ceresa at an altitude of 916 m.
Culture in the wider regional area
Beyond the local parish church, the regional attractions also offer points of interest. Castello Sasso Corbaro is a castle in the wider regional area around Consiglio Di Rumo. The wider regional area around Consiglio Di Rumo also includes Museo Moto Guzzi as a museum, Bellinzona Monastery as a monastery and Abbazia di San Pietro in Vallate as a church. This range is complemented by the Festa d'Estate of the Gruppo Alpini di Consiglio di Rumo, Colico section, described as traditional. It took place from Wednesday, August 12, to Friday, August 14, in the park of the local Scuola Materna in Consiglio Di Rumo, in the municipality of Gravedona ed Uniti. The program included live music by the group "La Fisarmonica delle Alpi" at 9 p.m.
