Hiking trails with clearly defined starting points

Four hiking trails are designated in Rezzato: Percorso 931, Percorso 933, Percorso 934 and Percorso 934 bis. Percorso 931 starts at the Sentiero della Rasa. Percorso 934 starts and ends at the Sentiero dei Fiori.

Church art in the centre of Rezzato

The Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista stands in the centre of Rezzato. Its façade is made of Botticino marble and was created between 1672 and 1682. The high altar also offers an insight into the town's art history: it is a work by Vincenzo Baroncini from 1735. Antonio Calegari was entrusted with the statues of the high altar, from the predella to the tribune. Children's drawings and marble processing

The PInAC offers another facet: it preserves around 8,300 children's drawings from 87 countries. This international diversity makes the place particularly interesting for families who also want to discover creative perspectives and children's work while travelling. In a marble workshop, traditional marble-processing techniques are explained. Visitors can try the V-shaped incision technique themselves. The marble processing is connected to the marble of the façade of the Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista. In Rezzato, therefore, the focus is not only on finished works of art, but also on a hands-on approach to the material.

Pilgrimage tradition on 26 July

The Processione di Sant’Anna takes place every year on 26 July as part of the patron saint's feast and commemorates the Marian apparitions of 1399 and 1711. During the procession, the statue of the Virgin Mary, accompanied by fifty participants, each representing a Catholic saint, passes through Rezzato to the Santuario di Valverde. Villa Avogadro-Fenaroli can be viewed from the outside; however, access to the interior is reserved for guests of the accommodation. The Santuario Nostra Signora di Valverde is easily accessible by car, has parking spaces in the immediate vicinity and is accessible to people with disabilities.
