The Casa Museo di Cerveno preserves the original function of a rural home and building features typical of its period: vaulted rooms, the use of limestone and the original room layout. The preserved items include finds, salvaged furniture and tools used in agriculture, especially winegrowing and winemaking, as well as livestock farming, alpine pasture management and crafts. In the same house, domestic architecture, limestone, winegrowing and other areas of rural work come together. The domestic architecture and work tools convey different aspects of rural life. Advance booking is required for group visits. The parish, together with the municipality, organizes guided tours of the Via Crucis for groups and individual visitors.

Monte Arsio and Concarena

At Monte Arsio, easy walks and more demanding hikes are possible, reaching the 2,338-metre summit of Monte Vaccio in the Concarena massif, bringing two different types of tour together here. Mount Concarena rises above Cerveno. At sunset on the days of the equinoxes, the sun shines through a deep cleft in the summit. In addition to its hiking destinations, the mountain landscape therefore also has a clear connection with the course of the year.

Route and Historic Centre

The “Tra vigne e vini” route leads through Cerveno and follows the ancient Via Valeriana along the foot of Concarena. Cerveno’s historic centre is reached via a narrow cobbled lane lined with stone walls. The “Tra vigne e vini” route and the Via Crucis represent distinct cultural focal points alongside the Concarena landscape. The course of the “Tra vigne e vini” route thus connects winegrowing with the ancient Via Valeriana in the Concarena landscape.
