The province of Genoa is situated directly on seaside in the North of Italy. There are nearly 900,000 inhabitants who live on the land of 1838km ². Many tourists chose the province of Genoa to spend their vacation as it offers them magnificent beaches and pleasant climate for having a relaxed vacation at the seaside.

There are many accommodations that are situated in the tourist-oriented province of Genoa. The specially beautiful are the beautiful rustic cottages. Hotels, hostels and camping grounds are also available in the Italian province and then they offer an overwhelming view of the landscape. There are also many cultural places in the province of Genoa. I.e. the city of Genoa, the capital, acquired the status of the Cultural European Capital.

Genoa has got its own landmark which is the 117-meter high lighthouse. Especially popular with tourist places are the two palaces “Durazzo Palazzo” and “Palazzo Ducale”, and the churches of San Lorenzo and “Santi Abrògio e Andrea” that impress with their magnificent institution. At the old port you will also find a marine museum, an aquarium and a museum of Antarctica. There are also 5 regional parks and a marine nature reserve that reflect the pristine beauty of Genoa.

The characteristic of Genoa are also small towns, just behind the Appennines. There are many natural coastal sections that are famous for their romantic atmosphere. There are also many old forts near the coast that only complete the romatic-exotic picture. These include the “Torre del Castelletto”, “Torre Quezzi” and “Torre Specola”. In February and March there held an ancient “Carnvale Genovese” that creates the atmosphere of the 16th century.
