Somma Vesuviana combines medieval local history, sacred traditions and the landscape of the Vesuvius area. The Presepe Vivente in Casamale also draws on the iconography of 18th-century Neapolitan nativity scenes and depicts, among other things, workshops and historic crafts.

Monte Somma, Punta Nasone and Villa Augustea

For landscape impressions, the trail around Monte Somma leads to Punta Nasone. At 1,132 metres, it is the highest peak of Monte Somma. The collection includes topics such as transport systems, viticulture and winemaking, activities around the hearth, as well as the sacred protection of the area dedicated to animals and their role in household management.
