They came from the former military cemetery of Monte Lungo and various military cemeteries across the Italian peninsula. Opposite the Sacrario, on the other side of Via Casilina, there is a small museum. It displays photographs, graphics, extracts from military orders, memorabilia, weapons and other official documents. The Museo Historicus offers another perspective on the history of the area. It displays hundreds of material artefacts collected, cleaned and exhibited in the surrounding mountains. The museum also includes two memorial installations dedicated to the “LI Bersaglieri” and a reconstruction of a trench. It therefore complements the memorial sites at Monte Lungo with tangible objects and spatial representations.

The past reaches even further back in Mignano Monte Lungo. The remains of a Roman villa and Roman cisterns have been found within the municipality. The Rio Rava is also crossed by a Roman bridge.
