Antica Valesio is located in the immediate vicinity of Torchiarolo. The archaeological site of Valesio contains settlement phases ranging from the Iron Age in the 8th to 7th century BC through to the Late Middle Ages. The Infocaciucci Canal is also located near Valesio and is now a natural area inhabited by migratory birds.

In the historic centre, Corte San Domenico is one of Torchiarolo’s two fortified houses. The fortified house is named after the saint who is depicted in a fresco in the outer niche next to the arch. Palazzo Tarantini is a fortified house in Corte Rosario. Palazzo Baronale was completed in 1698; its original defensive system is represented by a square corner tower dating from the 16th century. The portal is designed in the Catalan style, with the Caracciolo coat of arms above it.

The Chiesa Madre di Maria SS. Assunta was built towards the end of the 16th century, acquired two further side aisles in the 18th century and has a façade following a typical Baroque scheme. The Chiesa del Santissimo Rosario is Neoclassical. The Chapel of Sant’Antonio has a single-nave layout and was consecrated on 30 May 1680. Visible traces of an elaborately executed fresco have been preserved in the Chiesa della Madonna delle Grazie. The church is a rural building located at a crossroads immediately outside Torchiarolo.

Vineyards, olive groves and coast

The landscape around Torchiarolo is characterised by extensive vineyards and ancient olive groves. The route to Torchiarolo passes through the Bosco Tramazzone–Cerano nature reserve.

The coast of Torre San Gennaro near Torchiarolo is characterised by long sandy beaches alternating with rocky stretches of coastline. Lido Stella, a beach, is also located in the wider regional surroundings of Torchiarolo.

Pilgrimage, festivals and regional discoveries

The Santuario della Madonna di Galeano is a pilgrimage destination in the countryside around Torchiarolo. Following restoration work, the Santuario di Galeano was reopened for worship. The Feast of the Madonna della Madonna di Galeano is celebrated every year in the days around Easter with religious and civic rites involving the entire community. In May, the Mass of the Chiesa Madre was moved to Galeano every Saturday morning at 8:30 am, together with a prayer to the Virgin Mary.

Torre Bartoli dates from the 16th century and still rises today in Contrada Pisciani as an agricultural masseria and defensive tower. The construction of Torre Lo Muccio is believed to date back to the 15th century; the tower is located on the road to the Adriatic coast. The ruins of Masseria Nuova and the church of Santa Elisabetta are also located in the immediate vicinity of Torchiarolo. The Giardino Ippoliti, Giardino Santa Barbara and Giardino Mazzarelle gardens are likewise located in the immediate vicinity of Torchiarolo.
