At the Zsidó-hegy geological exposure, hikers have access to a shelter for protection from the rain, benches and information boards. The exposure at Zsidó-hegy reveals a sharp boundary between the rocks of the Zirci Limestone Formation, which formed in the Late Cretaceous around 100 million years ago, and the Pénzeskúti Marl Formation.

Geology

The geological exposure Zsidó-hegyi útbevágás földtani alapszelvény (K-06) can be reached from the southern edge of Bakonynána via the asphalt road to Tés and the K+ trail marking; it can also be accessed by car or bicycle via a well-maintained forest road.

The geotour “Geotúra Jásdról Bakonynára a Gaja-szurdok természeti csodái mentén” is 6 km long and takes 4 hours. At the Zsidó-hegy geological exposure, the geotour includes practical geological activities: the rock is tested by dripping water onto it, and the dip of the layers is measured.
