The Szentgáli-kőlik is a cave on the northwestern slope of Mecsek-hegy above Alszegi-rét and next to Szentgál; its currently known passages are 420 metres long and 42 metres deep. Since 1993, it has been a particularly strictly protected natural monument. During guided visits, visitors can learn about archaeological finds and discover how the people who lived there thousands of years ago lived. From March to October, guided cave tours in protective suits start at Szentgáli-kőlik every third Saturday, provided that at least four people register.
Several thousand yew trees grow in the Szentgáli-tiszafás, in the Bakony yew-beech forest’s distinctive woodland community. The area provides a habitat for protected plants; typical forest birds found there include the black woodpecker and the green woodpecker. The Szentgáli-tiszafás can be reached and visited on foot; a well-preserved, pleasantly laid-out access path leads through the protected area.

Culture and History
The Szentgál Reformed Church stands on the site of a medieval building that already existed in 1281 and was used by Protestants from the 16th century onwards. The nationally protected historic monument at 103 Fő utca has medieval origins and Baroque alterations from the 18th century; its furnishings include a Rococo pulpit and an ornate sounding board.
The present-day Szentgál Kisboldogasszony Catholic Church was built between 1776 and 1778 and consecrated in 1779. The frescoes in the chancel are attributed to Cimbal or one of his pupils.
The Szentgál Tájház is a museum exhibition venue at 12 Malom utca, 8444 Szentgál, in Veszprém County, and opened as a local history museum in 1993. It illustrates the Bakony’s stone construction and the vaulted architectural style of the noble communities; its furnishings convey an impression of the domestic life of a family living at a middle-class peasant level.
The Szentgál Pávakör, founded in 1974, primarily sings shepherds’ and Betyár songs collected locally, as well as ballads. The programme of events at the Szentgáli Kultúrpajta includes community theatre, musical events, dance houses, ceiling-painting workshops and exhibitions.
