Tiszaőrs: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the centre of Tiszaörs stands the Roman Catholic church, which was built in 1783 on the site of a medieval church with the involvement of Károly Eszterházy, Bishop of Eger. The late Baroque building is protected as a historic monument.

Culture

At the southern edge of Tiszaörs stands the cemetery chapel built in 1880 by parish priest Károly Kanizsay. It was built on a kurgan, the highest point in the village.

Along the path to the cemetery chapel of Tiszaörs, 14 Stations of the Cross were erected by 1886 with the participation of local families.

The cemetery chapel retains an original cast-iron spiral staircase leading to the gallery and a ceiling fresco depicting the raising of Lazarus.

Kálvária-halom is the hill of Tiszaörs's old cemetery. The pointed, 94.1-metre-high hill lies at the south-eastern edge of the village next to Main Road 34; its summit is home to a chapel and old graves.

The Tiszaigar-Tiszaörsi Körtvélyes Natura 2000 site also extends into the municipality of Tiszaörs. It is a site of Community importance with the code HUHN20141.

Csárda-halom is a regularly shaped kurgan situated on a sandy ridge along the road from the direction of Tiszaigar.
