Culture

The Reformed Church of Sáregres was built in 1817. It features a communion table from 1842 decorated with Empire-style inlays. The Szent-Lajos-Király Chapel, built in 1883, is also located in the village.

Brick-gabled houses stand in rows in Sáregres, including on Kossuth Street. A communion service held in Sáregres inspired István Csók's painting “Ezt cselekedjétek az én emlékezetemre!”, dated 1890.

The Aranyponty Fisheries Museum presents traditional fishing nets, tactile and fishing equipment, as well as fish containers in thematic exhibitions. A mill built perpendicular to the Malom Canal was constructed around 1820. The painter István Csók was born in 1865 in the mill located on the Malom Canal.

Every year, on the last Sunday in August, Sáregres hosts the Saint Ladislaus Day church festival.
