The single-nave, neo-Gothic Szent-Anna Chapel in Varga was built in 1868 and consecrated in honor of Saint Anne. Memorial plaques on both sides of its entrance commemorate the heroes who fell in the First World War; another list of names has commemorated the victims of the Second World War since 2005. Cseh Ede, the local landowner, had the chapel built in 1867. Every year, the feast of its patron saint is celebrated on the weekend closest to July 26.
The writer and translator Sásdi Sándor, who was awarded the József Attila Prize, was born in Varga in 1898. His birthplace in Varga houses the Sásdi Sándor Memorial House, with an exhibition about his life, family, and childhood. This memorial house is listed as a museum at 38 Fő utca in Varga.
