Witzhave: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Just beyond Witzhave, the Corbek flows into the Bille. There, it marks the border between Stormarn and the Duchy of Lauenburg district, as well as the entrance to the Sachsenwald forest.
Nature
The Billetal Nature Reserve covers approximately 176 hectares along the Bille and the Corbek between Reinbek and Grande. The Corbek, Brunsteichbach and Brunsbach Landscape Protection Area stretches along the Corbek between Rausdorf and Witzhave. It is characterized by the Corbek and Brunsteichbach waterways and the surrounding marginal areas of these waterways. The lowlands of the protected area consist predominantly of wet forests and grassland and transition into a small-scale agricultural landscape divided by hedgerows.
The Bille is designated as a nature reserve; its near-natural habitat supports plants and animals, including endangered fish.
Culture
The place name developed from Witeshave via Witzhaffen, Witzhöff and Witzhage to Witzhave. The former church of Witzhave is officially referred to as a chapel. The chapel building has approximately 120 seats. The coat of arms of Witzhave contains a gold fibula.
The chapel is used for concerts, readings, exhibitions and film screenings.
Trails
The Billetal can be reached via the Witzhave exit of the A24 motorway. From Ohe, visitors can drive to the Doktorbrücke car park and quickly reach the signposted Bille hiking trail from there.
Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Witzhave can then continue searching for accommodation.
